See how partnering with a team of student-doctors can bring your products and services to frontline workers, at no cost!

Frontline communities around Australia offer a unique and tailored market for health, fitness and lifestyle companies looking to expand their consumer-base. Big providers of these products and services need to recognise that the problems of workplace stress, declining physical and mental health and poor support are disproportionately impacting our frontline workers.
From battling the raging fires that devastated thousands of Australians, to dealing with the rising crime rates in our cities, to subsisting through months of 14 hour+ shifts on our COVID-19 wards, there has never been more optimal timing to give back to our frontline workers and help look after them, so that they can continue to look after us.
However, this is also an extraordinary market opportunity. Australia's healthcare sector alone is served by over 800 000 staff, not to mention all of the other services that are considered 'frontline' - from our support services to our educators. The market potential of targeting these communities in a way that also supports them is simply astounding.
The key question for providers to consider is: How can we make our service and products as tailored and as affordable for frontline workers as possible?
One of the ways that this can be achieved is through a centralised, online discount programme, that offers frontline workers and supportive community members access to a range of fitness, health and lifestyle incentives. Each provider creates a coupon code, which is then offered on the platform. This approach provides a variety of options to improve frontline worker health and well-being and does so in a way that also supports businesses.
This is a concept that has proven to be incredibly effective for other groups such as our university students and senior citizens. I therefore see great opportunity for this idea to be extended to all frontline sectors globally.
If last year taught us anything, it was that an effective crisis-response needs to involve a combination of widespread community cooperation and robust frontline services. As Australians, we also need to be creative and self-sufficient, given that we can be isolated from the rest of the world at any given time. We need transport services to run, hospitals to provide care, police to watch over the streets, teachers to educate our children - community demand is indeed, very high.
And yet, we need to recognise that all of the individuals that operate these vital services also have health needs. They need to prepare nutritious meals, get physical exercise, be able to enjoy leisure activities with their families and friends. They need to be kept healthy and strong for all of us. And with the rising costs of living, long working hours and economic uncertainty - staying fit and healthy in mind and body is only getting more difficult.
